Where the Tide Forgets Us
Captured through intentional camera movement on a winter shoreline, Where the Tide Forgets Us dissolves the boundary between presence and memory. Figures emerge only briefly from the wash of blue and pale light, suspended between sea and sky, arrival and departure.
The motion of the camera transforms an ordinary coastal walk into something more ephemeral — a meditation on transience, solitude, and the quiet anonymity of shared spaces. The softened horizon evokes the stillness unique to winter beaches, where sound is muted, colour is restrained, and time appears to slow.
Rather than documenting a moment, this piece invites the viewer to inhabit a feeling: the calm disorientation of cold air, distant conversations carried by wind, and the fleeting awareness of ourselves moving through a landscape that will remain long after we are gone.
