Companions in the Pale Tide
Inspired by my love of Mark Rothko's art, Companions in the Pale Tide, figures stand at the threshold of land and water, barely held by the image before dissolving into blue-grey air. Through intentional camera movement, detail gives way to sensation, leaving only gesture and relationship.
The shoreline is rendered as atmosphere rather than geography — a soft meeting of elements where the horizon refuses definition. The work speaks quietly of shared experience: walking beside another person while each remains within their own private landscape of thought.
It is an image about togetherness without clarity, closeness without permanence.
