The Sound Beneath Winter
In The Sound Beneath Winter, the shoreline dissolves into atmosphere, light and movement merging into a quiet abstraction of sea and air. The sweeping motion of intentional camera movement transforms the breaking surf into something almost remembered rather than seen — a landscape filtered through emotion rather than geography.
Soft blues and muted greys evoke the hushed acoustics of a winter beach, where wind carries distant echoes and the horizon becomes indistinct. The image resists certainty, inviting the viewer to linger within ambiguity — between tide and mist, presence and absence.
This work explores the sensory memory of place: not the beach itself, but the feeling of standing there, suspended in cold light and open space.
