Bloom in Two Moments (Crocosmia × crocosmiiflora)
This image is formed from two exposures made within a single frame. The first records the flower in stillness; the second allows movement to pass across the entire plant. The result holds both states simultaneously — the flower as it appears, and the flower as it behaves.
The sharper form anchors the image in reality, while the surrounding colour drifts into gesture. Structure and motion coexist, suggesting that a living subject cannot be contained in a single instant of observation.
Rather than documenting a plant, the photograph observes duration: growth not as a fixed object, but as an unfolding presence briefly visible before it changes again.
